Easter weekend

Haha... should have written this last week. Got carried away by my new Japanese "pen pal".

Hey Crystal, it was so nice to see you again. I had a good time too. 4 days were too short. I wish the weather was better. Hope you can come visit again. Next time we'll raid the rental book store. (^_^)

And thank you so much for the awesome sign book, shirt, magnet and cards. Oops... still haven't finished reading the book yet. But I'm enjoying it slowly so it can last longer.

No picnic

Too bad the weather wasn't good enough for a picnic. This would be the last weekend for sakura watching. Oh well... next year! (And, Andrew, ya gotta try more food. Would you be interested in going to the Eat! Vancouver food show?)

Sakura at QE park

So guys, I went to QE park to check the trees today. There're much fewer trees than I thought, and some of them are already in full bloom. I didn't see many flower pedals on the ground, so this area seems to be blooming late. But judging from today's condition, it's gonna be close if we wait till Saturday for the picnic. Nevertheless, we can still go. A picnic will still be a picnic without the sakura trees. (And then, maybe a Richmond field trip afterwards?) Hehehe... And then watch anime at night.

Eat Vancouver

Hmm... before I forget... Gotta drop down the Eat Vancouver site. I'm so glad they've got Rob Feenie back because last year I didn't get to shake his hand. (And take a photo.) No, no, I'm not his fan, but he has beaten an Iron Chef.

Cherry blossom #2

The weather hasn't been too nice so the sakura picnic is not looking good. Luckily the trees are not blooming all at once. The first round in my neighbourhood is all gone already. The second round is kind of weak. The third round isn't even close. So there's still hope. QE Park seems to be blooming late too. It's perfect for picnic! Hopefully the weather will get better.
