Manly Tofu

Otokomae Tofu, translates into "manly tofu". Hahaha... Crazy Japanese!! Looking at the site, you'll never imagine. It's a tofu company!! (Thanks my Japanese blog friend IS for the link.) According to IS, the tofu itself tastes quite good. The flavor is stronger than other brands, but it's also more expensive. I think the reason is their advertising. A campaign (and web site) like this must have cost a fortune.

Here's a more explicit one. Viewer digression advised. This one shows some of the BL products like magazine, doujinshi, and drama CDs. The "fujoshi" market size is huge!! Looking at the availability of such shows on YouTube, seems like the "otaku" culture is getting mainstream. (And they've been fan-subbed!)

(Click to enlarge the picture.) Haha... no, these are cherry tomatoes. Didn't make it in time so they're green. Most green ones have veins like this showing through the translucent skin, they look like they belong to the animal kingdom instead of plants. Kind of creepy...
