"801" also stands for "yaoi" in Japanese... 8 = ya, 0 = oh, 1 = ichi.
I only learned about the pronunciation in the last month or so. Before that, I thought it was some kind of bulletin board classification number. Hahahaha...

3D modeling machine in Akihabara

According to this article, there's a company on the 4th floor of the UDX building in Akihabara that accepts 3D data and make it into a sculpture. It doesn't say if it's for the public, or the price. If it's not too expensive, I'd love to try it!

Kanako Ono figurine

... from Genshiken, by Kaiyodo, as a freebie with Afternoon magazine. I bought mine for $12. Now it's only $5 at Iwase. Guess it's too obscene. (Her boobs are spring-loaded and bounce.) But the sculpt is excellent.

Paper art (1)

Nice! But... (1) takes up a lot of space, (2) those seem to be old books and will disintegrate eventually. Is it worthy to spend a lot of time making the art with something that doesn't last?
