House-sitting 2 (3)

Didn't sleep well last nigh... kept having weird dreams... It was about 3 by the time I got to brother's. The guinea pigs were hungry alright. Student T came back. The food in his fridge was untouched. There was light shining through from underneath his door. Not sure if he was sleeping, I didn't want to disturb him.

Brother's gang came back at around 4:30. I stayed behind for another hour and went home. Another Etsy shipment had arrived. Cleaned up the previous purchases and read some more GM. Not a productive day.

Haven't seen that house in a few days and its foundation is already laid down. I forgot to take a closer look last time. (1) (2) (3)

Dream

Mom and I was in a building. It was kind of crowded. There were halls and hallways and pillars and rooms. She walked so fast, I couldn't catch up and was about to loose her in the crowd. Somehow I knew it was a dream, so I tried to change the course on purpose by not chasing after her. Instead I found J in the crowd and hung out with him. Second part... The sun was setting. I was walking on the street. The sidewalk was very wide. There were a few guys walking behind me. I was trying to out-walk them. Then again, knowing I was in a dream, I tried to fly. And sure I could lift my feet off the ground while still moving at the same speed. Eventually increased the speed too, but not too much. Also tried to jump off high ground but couldn't quite do it. (The scene and location kept changing. I would suddenly be on high ground by thinking about it.) There was a part with narrow pillar-top-like rocks where I was standing on the very top. Nope, couldn't bring myself to jump, but I realized my "flight" only works follow the contour of the ground. That's why I couldn't jump. That's all I can remember.

Lubecker marzipan

"Lubecker Edel Marzipan" is the full name. From last December. Also part of A's goodies from home. Thanks for sharing again! This marzipan is in the same line as this. It's rum flavour and very fragrant. Quite good. Addictive risk is high.

First stop, brother's, to feed the guinea pigs. Student T hadn't come back. His food was untouched.

Second stop, dad's nursing home. We were almost half an hour early. The staff gave him a shower and he was clean to go. They even lend us a wheel chair. By the time we arrived at the CT scan department, we were still 15 minutes early. No one else was there so we got the scan right away. After the 15 minutes observation time, we were all done.

The staff at the nursing home gave dad a Styrofoam cup to spit into. Mom threw it away thinking it was something dad finished drinking. I told her that, and she got another one from the hospital. Dad was told to use it to spit, but he seemed to misunderstand the instruction as "keep spitting into the cup". Sigh... Then, when we were on the street, dad just threw it onto the ground! AKA littering! (T_T) Oh no, I'm not gonna touch that thing full of his spit.

After drinking more water to wash out the dye in his blood, of course he wet the diaper. We left while the staff change him.

Then second time today, we went back to brother's to clean the guinea pig's cage. It's a 2-people job when you want to put the pigs in the lawn. So mom was watching over them in the backyard while I did the cleaning, after she called Mrs. L. Then I drove mom home, ate dinner, and return to brother's for my own phone calls. Stayed till 1. Did not sleep over. Too lazy to pack, hehe... Student T wasn't there anyway.

The second batch of Etsy stuff arrived. Not as high quality as I thought. Oh well!

House-sitting 2 (1)

Technically speaking, it doesn't start until tomorrow, as sis-in-law would leave enough food for the guinea pigs. No need for me to go today at all.

So it was chiropractor day. Aunt Y need to re-sign a form at our family doctor, so it was our first stop. Then a quick look at DeSerres. Then I tried to pick up some labels at Eddie's, but I just missed the sale by 3 days. Feeling unjustified, I decided to make the labels myself and left without buying anything.

Then, chiropractor. No one was waiting and it was fast today. Mom suggested we eat out so I took them to Toshi. There was a lineup at 4:45 already. (They open at 5.) Two parties had people show up later and had me worry about seats. Somehow one party in front of us didn't to sit down. Turn out not all of them was there. It's Toshi's policy that you don't get a table until everyone's there. So the 3 of us has some sushi, plus a yakitori. The portions didn't seem big, but afterward you'd feel very full.

The first of the Etsy purchase has arrived. Now that I look back, it's not as good a deal. Oh well! At least quality is good.

Construction

The bulldozer is gone and there are boards at that house's site. (1) (2)

It's still summer, but I've been seeing a lot of fallen leaves...

House-sitting (3)

Final day. Student T ended up not coming back at all. Brother bought a giant (human size) teddy bear for niece G. Niece N chose a handbag. Both were 30 bucks. Also a Wii and and Apple time capsule. They wanted an Intuos tablet too, but sold out. Each time they go camping, they max out the tax exemption limit. (Who wouldn't?)

Found some clearance clip art books on Amazon and couldn't resist. Called A for some questions. He was taking a walk in English bay. It didn't make me feel good knowing that he never thought of inviting me. Thus the idea of him not wanting to spend time with me. Am I wrong to think that way? I texted him that, and he never replied. I think that's a silence "yes". Was that all there is, then? Do we have nothing else? I know I'm not the brightest person, but am I such a bum and no fun to be with?
