It's the longest day of the year! Yay~!
... and here's the fig tree in my backyard.
... and rasberry.

Hmm... Thoughts, discoveries, ideas, whining, or just making some marks.

You have a FIG?? Whoa! I love to eat them, but when you buy them in stores they are super-expensive as probably imported from far away and they don't last long. So what the heck... If they can survive here, why no more of them so they can be sold in stores? Probably yet another aspect of capitalism - stores don't carry stuff they don't *think* will sell, even if it's popular otherwise in the world. When the hell will they wake up to the fact that a good proportion of the population are immigrants, especially in a city like Vancouver? I've been waiting for 10 years to see Schweppes Bitter Lemon on sale here, as it's the *only* worthwhile one, but all they have are their stupid local flavours. Only a few months ago I've seen it - in a local ethnic store, imported from Europe. But it's not a fringe flavour, it's the major flavour over there. God forbid they don't drop one of 10 different types of stupid ginger ale and make just this one instead? But noooo. A store selling something different than other stores, differentiating yourself? Nah, won't happen here.
Yup, there's a fig tree in my back yard. I'll bring you a few when they're ripe. (^_^)
