Yikes! It really makes lego cars! The video is a bit long, though. But at the end, a car does roll off the assembly line.

Dollar bill origami

Actually not that impressive. But the idea of using bank notes has it's appeal. And there's a "Homer Simsons" origami dollar bill. (^_^)

Omelette rice mouse cover

"Omelette rice" seems to be a Japanese thing. (Is it really?) Since the rice is inside the omelette, maybe it should be called "rice omelette" instead? The mouse doesn't need a cover, but it might be good for spooking your colleagues with...

Paper art (3)

No rough, no sketches, no pencil. Only eyeballing, a piece of paper and a pair of scissors. That person does it often enough to have a blog.

3D modeling machine in Akihabara

According to this article, there's a company on the 4th floor of the UDX building in Akihabara that accepts 3D data and make it into a sculpture. It doesn't say if it's for the public, or the price. If it's not too expensive, I'd love to try it!

Sakura... 2nd round?

Near my place. 51th Ave, 2 blocks west of Knight Street. There are some on 53rd too. Nothing near those in Burnaby, but still quite nice.

A bunch of interesting bus ads. They won't make you laugh outloud, but nevertheless interesting to look at.

Kanako Ono figurine

... from Genshiken, by Kaiyodo, as a freebie with Afternoon magazine. I bought mine for $12. Now it's only $5 at Iwase. Guess it's too obscene. (Her boobs are spring-loaded and bounce.) But the sculpt is excellent.

Paper art (1)

Nice! But... (1) takes up a lot of space, (2) those seem to be old books and will disintegrate eventually. Is it worthy to spend a lot of time making the art with something that doesn't last?

3 days...

So, my uncle has one week left not because of his illness, but the decision of the doctor on not to give him a feeding tube, so that he would "dry up naturally". Hey wait a minute. That's starving a living person to death! How can that be "natural"?! My uncle did not loose consciousness although he can no longer speak. But he communicates with head movement and can answer yes or no questions.

The tubes are removed already. No food, no water, no IV, no medicine, no oxygen mask. Mind you, he has Parkinson's. He's gonna shake without medicine. Knowing that a relative is slowly being killed is unsettling. I have to admit, I've been trying to block this whole thing out, but for the past few days, I haven't been sleeping well and my stomach aches. Aren't doctors supposed to treat the sick? This one seems to enjoy making people suffer. Devil!!
