Car: door... !

(Photo has nothing to do with subject.)
Thew... the temperature is at least bearable comparing to yesterday. However, my car is still a sauna. (T_T)

Found out the driver's side door is broken. Part of the plastic frame has come loose. It's super easy to break into my car now. (T_T) (T_T) (T_T) (T_T) Not sure when it happened. At least I didn't notice it last time I drove it. It could easily be whoever broke in through the rubber trimming last time. (T_T) Now how much is this gonna cost me? (T_T) (T_T) (T_T) (T_T)

Hot 4

Tried the opposite of my winter hand and lap warmer technique. It worked... ! Keeping a bottle of ice water on your lap helps a lot. I am at least able to use the computer before sun down. But... nothing else. (T_T)

The itchy flaky skin around my mouth is not going away... (T_T)

Hot 3

Feels worse today. (T_T) 35 degrees on our shaded sundeck. 32 inside.

There are only 2 left from the 12-pack of Popsicle I bought yesterday. The home made juice ones went from 12 to 6. The majority was eaten by me. Yup... at one point the roof of my mouth was sore. It's gonna be a joke if I get frost bite from that.

It's impossible to turn on the computer until late at night, or else you can't even enter the room. Try to work on beads but of course couldn't. All my actions circle around how to cool down. Say, when you're fanning yourself with one hand, you can't do much with the other. When you're digging out ice cube to put in your mouth every 30 minutes, you can't concentrate on serious work. However, I'm sure my place isn't the worst.

Mom was hoping eating out would give us a break from the heat. Who knew the restaurant's air conditioner was having problem! Brother needed gas so we all went to Superstore after dinner. Even the temperature there was high. Only near the milk and egg section can you get real chill.

There goes another unproductive day... (T_T)

Hot 2

Second heat wave this summer. 32 degrees. Didn't really want to sit in that car of mine without A/C. No choice but to go to my chiropractor and hair cut appointment. Got some stuff at Dress Sew afterward. I think I bought doll size snaps in the States for too much. Oh well.

Couldn't stand the heat and picked up a 12-pack Popsicle on my way back. The heat must have fried everyone's brain because no one thought of putting a bottle of water into the fridge. (Now there is one.) As to the Popsicle, I ate a total of 4 between 6 and 12.

Couldn't turn the computer on until 11:30 pm. It's just too hot!

Hot...

(Photo has nothing to do with subject...)
The florescent light overheats and turns itself off. (Comes back automatically when it's cool enough.) I'm 200% sure my previous computer would do the same.

Turning the computer off soothes the heat a little, but then I'd be working on beads without net radio. This heat sure doesn't help when you're trying to do intricate stuff.

Rain

It was crazy.

It's been sunny and hot till... 6? Then thunder storm! Pouring rain! I was in North Van and saw lightnings strike from the sky that looked near by.

Looted Michael's again. Beads were on sale. 3 packs of jump rings have already been filed away and are not in this picture. I think I spent close to 60 bucks today. Sigh...

Wire cutter

Why does everything have to break within this week? (T_T) (T_T) (T_T) (T_T) (T_T) (T_T) Yeah I was careless. It was all my fault.
The wire was thin. I assume it was soft enough.

Car: conclusion (hopefully)

(Photo has nothing to do with subject.)

Insurance $1250, plus the previous maintenance and repairs = $2006. Just when I have no work this month. (T_T)

The Smoking Fry

McDonald's fries don't break down after 10 weeks. The experiment was terminated because the fries were accidentally discarded.

Car: distributor

(Photo has nothing to do with subject.)
The car ended up costing me another $389. It was the distributor. Oil and brakes $212 + battery $155 + distributor $389 = $756. (T_T)

My brother's mechanic said I don't need a spare tire if I have BCAA membership. If I need to drive to the States or long distance, I can buy a used one for about 30 bucks. Somehow I get the impression that the spare tire is gonna cost me. What a relieve. I don't want to spend too much on something that I'm not gonna use.

Have been having a lot of "this channel is currently unavailable" error on the TV. Wonder what's going on...

Hair cut

(Photo has nothing to do with subject.)
Haven't heard from my brother yet. Don't know how my car is doing.

Technically speaking, I can take a bus to my haircut appointment downtown. But 2 things held me back. (1) I've been using that ointment around my mouth which says avoid sun exposure. (2) I only have SPF 15 facial lotion, way too weak for today. Sigh... don't want scars, better play it safe. Oh well, apart from my hair actually getting too long, I was hoping a haircut would improve my mood.

Haven't DL FMAB for a while. Better do it myself instead of relying on someone else. To my shock, the site I've been getting DL from no longer carry the files! (T_T) I manage to find some loose ones after searching online, but still haven't found all of them. Sigh...

Need to find positive things... think positive... At least I'm still alive, have a roof above my head, and not starving... (T_T) (T_T) (T_T) (T_T)

Car trouble again

(Photo has nothing to do with subject.)
My car wouldn't start again. The worse is, my brother has borrowed it, and it failed in his hands. He needed to pick up his girls from summer school. (His own car was sent for a repair.) In order to get help from BCAA, I'll have to be with the car. I could take a bus to Granville Island, and then call BCAA, but it would be too late for the girls. My sister-in-law has the anther car but she didn't turn on her cell phone and couldn't be reached.

Meanwhile I phoned up my garage for advice. Since I just replaced the battery 3 days ago, this doesn't make sense. The guy said it's probably the distributor. Let it cool and restart. (Yup, my brother parked in the open, under the scorching sun.) Luckily the car finally started after he opened all the doors and hood and "prayed intensely". (Yup he's far on the religious side.) He also reached his wife so she would be picking up the girls.

So, instead of dropping off my car, he took it to his mechanic and swap it with his car.

Is this my bad luck? Or my brother's?

Allergy?

Itchy, flaky... (T_T) Actually I think this is not allergy. It's stress. Hope it's not gonna turn into eczema. (T_T)

Dim sum

Stress level maximum tolerance exceeded...

Exploded.

And of course, always regret my actions. (T_T) (T_T) (T_T) (T_T) What am I supposed to do? What can I do? "Positiveness", "emotional support" are so out of reach...

Chiropractor makes all the difference. Finally feel like a civilized human being again. Sigh...

Car: battery

I'd say this has been the worst week so far this year. 30-degree doesn't help. The vampire doesn't help.

As expected, my back's been killing me from yesterday's car wash. I was counting on today's chiropractor's appointment. Just when I was ready to leave the house, the car wouldn't start. The battery was dead. Why? Probably because I started the car twice without letting it run for some time yesterday. All thanks to a new shorter hose that doesn't let me wash both sides of the car at once.

With my mom's help, we asked our next door neighbour to jump my car. When I opened the trunk to fetch the cable, I notice the spare tire and tools are gone! OMG! When did it happen?!?!?! I was soooooo shocked. (T_T)

Then neither the neighbour nor myself know how to attached the cable. Yes, I've only done it twice in 17 years, always with help. I lost it. Sigh... Why, why now...

I think I lost all hope and purpose to life in that instance. Nothing I've done worked. Nothing I tried to do worked. None of my effort makes a difference. Maybe God actually hates me. Mom didn't help either. She said lets die together. Mentally she has never ever been helpful.

Forgot I could call BCAA. 45 minutes wait. Had to give up the chiropractor appointment. (T_T) The guy did his job well. The car started so quickly and easily. But he recommended replacing the battery. So there I went, back to the garage where I just had an oil change and new brakes yesterday. The battery cost $155. (T_T) The chiropractor's appointment was rescheduled to tomorrow. Couldn't go to renew my insurance either.

Seriously needed a break. Still have 2 half price Michael's coupons. So, Richmond. When you're having bad luck, even the washroom gives you no toilet paper. Luckily I have some substitutes.

Then I noticed the Sculpey Al bead I made was gone! The cord broke! Aaaaaargh!!!!! (Thank God it was found in the car later.) Then S called. She arrived in town. I tried to write down her hotel number, then noticed the back cap of my pencil was gone! Sigh... Why why why why why why why why why why why... why does everything have to happen at once?

God, what are you trying to tell me?

Car: brakes

Only managed to go to bed at 2. Alarm set for noon but I ended up sleeping till 10. Not too bad considering working all night.

Time for an oil change. Though it wouldn't go over $50 but they found the front brakes are almost gone. So the total came to $212. (T_T)

Finally washed my car. It's been almost a year. Felt like doing something stupid so I also vacuumed. Tomorrow is gonna be sore. That's OK I think I need it. But the sad thing is, the brush sucks and the hood is all mat and still dirty. All that time and effort for nothing. (Just like so many things in my life.) What's the point?

Mailed

Worked all night last night. Managed to mail the parcel at around 5. It's still much later than I hope. Nevertheless I made it within the day. Now it's out of my hands.

Didn't drive to the post office because I didn't sleep. On my way back, my stomach felt strange. It would be nice if it was the knock, but nooooooo. It was the vampire. 6 days too early. Why do all the bad things have to happen this week?

Brother didn't come over for dinner. Instead, he invited us to his place. That means, no escape form driving.

Bags

(Photo has nothing to do with subject.)
Thought I've bought bags for packaging long time ago, but they are too small. No time to make a trip but I have no choice. Among the four neighborhood dollar stores, only one carries the size I need. At least I got some.

Tasty Strawberry Kitkat

Limited edition. Have they made strawberry ones before? Yes... I expected this to taste like cough syrup, but was totally caught off guard. Sorry I'm bias against strawberry and cherry flavoured candies. This, doesn't taste artificial at all. It's natural, light and fragrant, with a hint of tartness. In other words, this is the addictive stuff. They've got the amount of tartness right.

OTL

Despite the picture shows 30 different designs, they send you 5 duplicates in 6 design. There is no mention of random picks or duplicates. This is why I don't like e-bay or online shopping.

I should be mad, but strangely not. Don't care anymore. Doesn't matter anymore. Noting matters anymore.

Need gold wire. Thought I bought some but I didn't. Felt like doing something stupid so I went to the North Van Michael's instead of Richmond. However, the one I bought is no good. The gold coating comes off easily. No good. No good. (T_T)

Somehow

Feeling betrayed.
Betrayed by my own hopes and expectations.
So, there is no light after all. It's all a false hope.
Fine. There is one less reason to wake up for.
Back to the pit.

I'm sorry the good times don't mean enough for you.
I'm sorry my efforts are insignificant to you.
I'm sorry I fail to get you to communicate to me.

I'm disappointed and pissed not because of our different "needs", but your giving up. I suppose I should give up too.

Thanks for everything. You may not believe it but I do very much appreciate your help and kindness.

Time for some teeth. It's been a while.

Coils

The beads I've got are too big. Need to make some spacer coils from scratch... My eyes and neck are sore... (T_T) Didn't intend to, but ended up working all night to finish this batch of necklaces.

More beads

And more eating out. My brother's mother-in-law insisted on treat us to dinner. Last time I've been in hat restaurant was... 8? 9? years ago. My younger niece was still a baby and she was whining and crying during our stay. We thought she was able to see something we couldn't see. This time, she seemed to be fine.

Cross border shopping

Hitched a ride with my brother again. Waited 50 minutes at the border. Seems like we managed to dodge the July 4th crowd, but missed those who took an extra day off.

Didn't find the items I need most, but still found some stuff. Two bucks here, three bucks there, before you know it, it's 50 bucks!!! (T_T)

Weave weave weave

Too much weaving. Fingers hurt. Fail to keep perfect track on the pattern. Need to undo every time I make a mistake. Still, some mistakes were not discovered until it's too late. It's a simple pattern too. It's either left or right. Yet I still make tons of mistakes. Sob sob sob...

Bubbly milk chocolate

Governor's choice bubbly milk chocolate.

Product of Switzerland. Is this the same as "made in Switzerland??? It's delicious. However, the "bubbly" isn't as bubbly as I hope. Perhaps the air pockets are too fine? Aero does a better job on bubbles. Either way, it's still really good.

Goodbye domain

My domain expires today. Had it for 7 years. Can't afford it anymore. (T_T) Well... I haven't done much to it ever since switching focus to blogs anyway. My html writing skill is also way too obsolete. Sigh...

Canada Day

Awwww~ didn't have enough time to make a card, not even a photo card... (T_T)
Downtown - Burnaby - New West... that's the most places I've ever been to in one day.
